We're thrilled to announce that we were crowned Best Delicatessen in Cheshire 2016 at the sparkling Taste Cheshire Food & Drink Awards at Chester Racecourse! Over 30,000 votes were cast in the first round of the judging process, which saw us shortlisted and host to mystery shoppers and a panel of judges who awarded Whitmore & White the Gold Award for 2016. Almost 400 of Cheshire's foodie glitterati packed in to the Pavilion at Chester Racecourse to find out the winners of the 2016 Taste Cheshire Awards on the 30th March. Over 30,000 votes were cast by the public and the final four nominations in each category were mystery dined or shopped by industry experts to award Gold, Silver and Bronze in each of the categories. The judges were impressed with our fascinating range of food and drink, as well as the outstanding product knowledge of our staff who were unwittingly quizzed by the mystery shoppers! We go to great lengths to stock properly interesting food and wine, and import a lot of our food directly from the continent, meaning that you simply won't find it anywhere else in the UK. Putting this together with our wide support for local producers in Cheshire, Wirral and North Wales, and it seems we have an award-winning combination! We're absolutely over the moon to have won, and can only thank all of our fabulous customers in Frodsham and Heswall, all of our staff and suppliers for their fantastic support!
