Something bold, exciting and a little bit sensual has been causing quite a stir here at Whitmore & White these past few weeks. All the way from the land down under, where women glow and men plunder, we have acquired two absolutely phenomenal wines from a group of three friends who decided to combine their skills and make game-changing wine crammed full with as much charisma and sass as they are. The guilty suspects? None other than Some Young Punks. 

Port: that rich, silky, heady elixir that's been a staple of the British festive dining table for centuries. For many, a bottle of Port coupled with a fragrant array of cheese is the gastronomic highlight of Christmas day. But there are many different types of Port, and a whole world of cheese out there, so which Port suits which cheese? Is it all just about Stilton? Luckily as purveyors of fine cheese and Port, we have the answers! But first, what is Port and where does it come from? 

There's an old saying that can be attributed to many things but always seems more pertinent when it comes to wine: "Life's too short to drink bad wine". We've always advocated that spending a little more will get you a lot more bang for your buck, so I've put together a mixed case of wine that I think show the finer side of wine to you the consumer; increased concentration of flavours, limited production, more time and effort given in making the wine and wines that give class in a glass.

Here at Whitmore & White, we've been working with Chase Distillery in Herefordshire since we opened and have been champions of their brand and their ethos ever since.
