A great wine made only in the very finest vintages; an example of the very best characteristics of the wines from Rioja.

There is a superb pairing between the fruit and the complex bouquet from the French oak, giving a lengthy, velvety mouth-feel. The blend is 80% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo and 10% Graciano.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Based in Fuenmayor in the Rioja Alta region, the Foncea family run this Bodega and produce an impressive range of Riojas. From Blanco, through Rosado to Gran Reserva, the key phrase is 'quality and value'. The grapes harvested from the 55 ha of vineyards (mainly Tempranillo) are fermented in stainless steel and those requiring ageing are done so in a combination of French and American oak 225 litre casks.
