TASTING NOTE

This wine is full of strawberry and raspberry fruit on the nose. The palate is fresh and vibrant with notes of sour cherries and strawberry. The tannins are smooth and the finish lingering.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

The Rallo family have made wine in the Marsala region of Sicily since 1851. When sales of Marsala wine started to decline in the 1970s, they started to make table wines and launched the Donnafugata label in 1983.

This wine has been 100% Nero d'Avola since 2009. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel with 8 days maceration. After malolactic conversion the wine remains in tank for three months before bottling.
