The Isle of Harris Distillery, was founded with the aim of supporting the island’s economy and community. It stands as a beacon of local craftsmanship and pride, drawing on the environment and traditions of the island to create spirits that are not only of outstanding quality but also imbued with a sense of place.

The Hearach Oloroso Sherry Cask is fully matured in hand-selected ex-Oloroso Sherry butts from Huelva, Spain. These sherry casks, made from Palomino grapes, impart a distinctive richness and boldness to the whisky, a hallmark of this release. This meticulous maturation process adds layers of complexity, enhanced by the casks’ journey from the renowned Bodega José y Miguel Martín in Andalusia to the remote island warehouse on Harris, where the spirit is carefully aged.

The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, with no artificial colouring and non-chill filtered, ensuring that its natural character is preserved. Lightly peated at 12-15 ppm, it strikes a delicate balance between subtle smokiness and the signature sweetness imparted by the Oloroso sherry casks.
