Watercolour-pale pink. Airy florals on the nose, like stepping into the garden on a late-spring morning. Super-crisp. Watermelon sorbet sprinkled with sesame seeds and dressed with a squeeze of lime and lime zest. As it warms a little in the glass, the fruit intensifies a little: some blood-orange juiciness, bittersweet apple. The finish, with its very, very delicate green-sweet-soft-vegetal nuttiness, actually reminds me of alfalfa sprouts. A wine with real matière, notched with pinpoint-meticulous English acidity and good length.
