Dom Perignon Champagne
Tasting Note
The immediate impression is of the mildness of the pure, airy, bright bouquet. A floral, fruity pastel tone then unfolds and quickly darkens into candied fruit, ripe hay and toasted notes, along with hints of licorice.
The wine's opulence reveals itself on the palate. The envelope slides and stretches, and the wine becomes more complex and edgy, silkier than it is creamy. The whole eventually melts into an exquisite bitterness tinged with the briny taste of the sea.
About the Producer
The prestige cuvee from the Moet & Chandon Champagne House, Dom Perignon is one of the world's most sought-after Champagnes. It is only produced in excellent vintages; if a harvest does not meet their high standards, there will be no vintage champagne that year.
Dom Perignon's is usually made from a blend of half-and-half, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It is rightly regarded as one of the very finest Champagnes, with the ability to age gracefully over many years.
