We all have our quirks, mine is a love of words. The changing way we communicate intrigues me. My absolute bugbear is text speak, I really haven't a clue what all those acronyms mean, and nor do I want to.

Come and celebrate International Coffee Day with us on Saturday 1 October. Whether it's to kick start your day, catch up with friends, a pick me up after the night before or even a hot date our coffee won't let you down. We can't take all the credit for this wonderfully fresh coffee though. It's partly to do with how much love goes in to making it, but the main credit goes to Flaming Bean, our local roaster in Neston. We love their coffee and we hope you do too.

The nation has moved its excitement from the Rio Olympics to the Great British Bake Off. A bit like Marmite, you either love it or hate it. I love it - I even eat cake watching it!

Gin is in and we're extremely proud of our extensive range of this matchless juniper based spirit. Our collection takes you on a worldwide trip, starting right here in the North West of England.

We've all been there haven't we? You know what I mean. You're stood there in a swanky wine bar surrounded by the local glitterati when your blood runs cold as you realise you've put on completely wrong shoes to go with the glass of Sauvignon Blanc you're sipping on.

We know what you're all thinking when you walk into our shops. Not 'what an amazing array of yummy products', but 'how do the staff all look so fit, healthy and full of beans!' (ahem).

International Beer Day has been celebrated on the first Friday of August since 2007.  Founded in Santa Cruz, California it soon grew and is now recognised worldwide ... and rightly so!

Storyhouse, the Chester-based arts organisation, have chosen two new venues to continue the successful Moonlight Flicks programme.  They only chose Frodsham and West Kirby!
