On the nose there are notes of pear, malt and a touch of peat. On the palate there are spice notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and subtle peat and oak notes on a long finish.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Springbank distillery is one of the last surviving producers of Campbeltown Single Malts. The distillery, located on the southern Kintyre peninsula, produces three distinct types of single malt Scotch whisky; Springbank Single Malt, Longrow Single Malt and Hazelburn Single Malt. Springbank is one of the few remaining family owned distilleries and is one of only two distilleries in Scotland to perform every step in the whisky making process on the same premises, from malting the barley to bottling the spirit. The other is the new Kilchoman Distillery on Islay who also cultivate their own barley. Nearly all of its whisky is sold as single malt, with little of it finding its way into blends.
